Well, I'm finally playing baseball, The
Thursday Night Baseball pickup game.

As I said in an
earlier post, I live in paradise, and this was clearly apparent standing in right field looking at the scenery. It was just stunningly beautiful there in Herlihy Field. What could be better than that, playing baseball in such an amazing place?

First game I played I got one hit, one hit by pitch, and reached on a error. I scored all three times I got on base.
I also struck out 4 times on called strikes. That curveball is tough.
The next game, on my birthday, was rained out. But yesterday I got to play again and got my first RBI-a bases loaded walk. I also grounded out twice, but I moved up the runners on one of those, and I managed not to take any called third strikes.
The games continue through October, and in the fall they move the games to Sat. afternoon, so the family can come and watch.
Playing baseball, as
I wrote earlier, is an important part of my mental health.
